BAL_S_LOG - Application Log: Log header data Addresses (Business Address Services)This documentation is copyright by SAP AG.
In this step, you assign the adjustment types that you created in the step Define Adjustment Types to a compensation area and define additional attributes such as calculation rules and eligibility criteria.
Your organization is based in the USA but has a subsidiary in France. The adjustment types are calculated and handled differently in both countries. To reflect this in the SAP system, you need to define different attributes and assign the adjustment types to different compensation areas:
Compensation area | Adjustment type | Component |
---|---|---|
10 USA | SALI | BASE |
06 France | SALI | BASE |
The SAP R/3 System contains sample entries that you can use or modify to meet your requirements.
- Enter the compensation area in the Determine Work Area dialog box
- Choose New entries
- On the detail screen:
- Enter an adjustment type
- Define how the adjustment type's effective date is to be calculated by selecting one of the options and entering the relevant data
- Define how the adjustment type is to be calculated by specifying a calculation base and a wage type model
- Enter an eligibility rule, if required
- Save your entries
- Repeat steps 2 to 4 until you have assigned all your adjustment types
You can only assign adjustment types to one compensation area at a time. To assign adjustment types to another compensation area:
- Choose Back
- Execute the IMG activity again
- Define a new work area and repeat steps 2 to 5
