SIMG_OHR0027 - Define Vehicle Classes

Via Vehicle class, you can reproduce enterprise-specific reimbursement rates for travel costs for vehicle classes. For each employee, the vehicle class can be stored in the infotype Travel Privileges (0017).

In this Customizing activity, you define, depending on trip provision variant, the permitted entry values for the vehicle class and store a corresponding long name.
The vehicle class is defined using a three-place alphanumeric key.

In the Customizing activity Define trip provision variants, you need to have defined the trip provision variants for which you want to define vehicle classes.

1. In the trip provision variant field, specify the trip provision variant for which you want to define a vehicle class.
2. In the vehicle class field, assign a key for the vehicle class.
3. In the next field, assign a long name for this key.
4. Valid-from date and valid-to date must both be empty. If the fields are empty, the vehicle class is always valid and it can be used in every trip, irrespective of the trip date. If only the valid-from date is filled, the vehicle class can only be used if the trip start date is after or on the valid-from date. If only the valid-to date is filled, the vehicle class can only be used if the trip start date is before or on the valid-to date. If both are filled, the vehicle class can only be used if the trip start date is between the valid-to date and the valid-from date. Therefore, only the start date of the trip is ever used as a comparison value, meaning that only the start date of the trip determines whether the vehicle class is valid for the trip.
