In target stock calculation, a coverage period is required. It may be necessary to periodically change the coverage period. Profiles can be set up and assigned to locations, and any changes to the coverage period need only be made at the profile level, rather than changing the coverage period for every location-material master data record.

The Tgt cover(Target Cover) field is the number of days that need to be considered in the target stock calculation during planning. It is the the number of days that the target stock level should cover.

Example

If a location sells 5000 Gallons per day and it is necessary to have enough stock to supply for 10 days, then the target stock level is 5000 Gallons * 10 days= 50000 Gallons of target stock. The Target Cover is the number of days the location could continue to make issues after the target stock level is reached based on the standard day.
