Here you define compatibility operators. The system uses the defined operators to determine the compatibility of the technical attributes defined in master data records. Each operator results in a particular comparison.

For example, to determine if a berth can accomodate a particular marine vessel, you need to define the length of the vessel using the operator = (vehicle length = 400 meters). You then define the maximum length allowed for a vessel entering the berth using the operator <(vehicle length < 420 meters). In this example, the vessel is compatible with the berth, because the vessel is less than 420 meters long.

The available operators are > = , < = , <, >, = , Required (REQ) , Not Allowed (NA), Available (AVL), and Not Available (NAV).

You can implement additional operators, by defining the new operators in this Customizing step, and by defining the behaviour of the newly created operator by implementing the enhancement in the Business Add-In (BAdI) OI0_OP_PROC.
