In this IMG activity, you define business location types and you assign the applications that are relevant for the business location type.

The location type determines the processes associated with the business location object. Business location types relevant for the Trader's and Scheduler's Workbench (TSW) component define the basic operation of a location.

You define the business location type and short text. Assign the applications for which the location type is relevant.

On the details screen you define, for SSR-relevant applications, if the location type is used for competitor locations.

You define how a location type is used in TSW by selecting a planning location, refinery, origin or destination location. Single or multiple selections are allowed for each location type. The system displays the selections made for each location type in the master data record of each location.

Examples of business location types are dealer owned and operated service stations, company owned service stations, competitor stations, general retailers, depots, truck garages, pipeline terminals, refineries, tank farms and marine terminals.
