In this Customizing activity, you define the planning granularity and the planning timeframe for a company code used in the Forecasting application.

This Customizing activity is mandatory. We recommend that you define it before starting to use the Forecasting application and that you do not change it once the Forecasting application is in use.

The planning timeframe upper limits for the different planning granularities are the following:

Planning Granularity ,,,,Planning Timeframe Upper Limits

D (Daily),,,,,,,,366

W (Weekly),,,,,,,,53

M (Monthly),,,,,,,,12

Company code = 0001

Planning granularity = W

Planning timeframe = 12

In this case, the planning granularity for the company code 0001 is weekly and the users of the Forecasting application can forecast for 13 weeks (12 weeks + the current week).
