SAP E-Book

In this IMG activity you maintain condition tables. A condition table defines the construction of an overhead rate. In the condition table, you enter the fields on which you want to make the overhead rates dependent.

You define a condition table by selecting the fields you require in a specified sequence from the list of permitted fields. This list is preset. You can then enter the condition tables you have thus defined in a Dependency.

You want to use the fields "Company code", "Business area" and "Plant" as conditions for calculation of your overhead.
To do this, you must create a new condition table and select the three fields specified from "Allowed fields".

In the SAP standard delivery, there are examples of Condition Tables. They are in the number range 001 to 500 and cannot be changed.

If you want to create new condition tables, proceed as follows:

  1. To create a new condition table, choose "Condition -> Create".
  2. Enter a number between "501" and "999".
Confirm the creation of a condition table for internal orders with a validity period and table type "T".
  1. Enter a name for your condition table.
  2. Select the desired fields in the desired sequence.
  3. Generate your condition table.

To improve system performance, you should keep to the following field sequence:

  1. Controlling area
This applies only when you have more than one controlling area.
  1. Overhead type
This only applies when your actual percentage rates and your plan percentage rates are different.
  1. Business-organizaion specific condition fields
Select the sequence for these fields so that the fields filled most frequently appear first.
