You can define scenarios for product data replication. A scenario displays the usage of ALE distribution packets within an application.

You can define the assignments of packet type to partner system for each scenario.

Customer-specific scenarios must be stored in either the Y or Z namespaces.

If you need different packet types for a logical recipient, for example, because you want to limit the quantity of recipient objects, you can use this setting to make an assignment of packet types to partner systems on a client-specific basis.

You have made the Customizing settings for UPS:

To create a scenario with packet types assigned to partner systems, proceed as follows:

  1. Change to change mode.
  2. Select Scenario Definition in the dialog structure.
  3. Choose New Entries and specify a key for a new scenario.
  4. Select the new scenario, and choose Language-Dependent Short Text for Scenario Definition in the dialog structure.
  5. Enter a short text and a language key.
  6. Choose Assign Packet Type to Logical System.
  7. Enter a partner system.
  8. Assign a packet type.
  9. Save your entries.
