Define Number Ranges for Cities

Number ranges for defining cities

The postal cities for the address check against the regional structure are stored in a table. Cities are identified by a country/region key and a number. These numbers can be assigned externally or internally.

Default Settings

Number ranges 01 (external assignment) and 02 (internal assignment) are delivered.

Recommendations

If required, you can change the number ranges.

Activities

You can change the number ranges. To change a city code number range:
1. Choose "Execute" to open the transaction for maintaining number ranges.

2. Choose Change interval.

3. Maintain interval values From number and To number for the relevant number range interval.

4. Save your entries.
Additional information

When you create a city using transaction SR10, the system always uses the first suitable external or internal number range. Other number ranges can be used when you create cities with function module SZRS_S_ADRCITY_CREATE (for example to import data).
