In this work step you define the control data for the specification system.
The control data influence the following settings:
- Inplace controls the presentation of the Microsoft Office document
- Bidirectional Data Exchange cotrols the data exchange between the SAP System and the Microsoft Office application
- Start with Microsoft Office Application indicates which application is started
Inplace
You have the following display possibilites with Microsoft Office Integration in the SAP System:
- When this option is selected the Microsoft Office application starts within the application area of the SAP System
- When this option is not selected the Microsoft Office application is opened in another, seperate window outside the SAP System
Bidirectional Data Exchange
The task of a specification system is to create a detailled description of an object. To do this, data is trasnferred from the SAP System to the Microsoft Office application.
Communication between data storage in the SAP System and the Microsoft Office application can also be carried out bidrectionally. When this option is selected the data of the Microsoft Office application are also transferred to the SAP System in order to maintain the classification data.
Microsoft Office Application
In this input field you enter the Microsoft Office application that you want to work with:
- If you want to work with Microsoft EXCEL, enter excel.sheet.
- If you want to work with Microsoft WORD, enter word.document.
Define the control data according to your needs.
