In this view it is possible to enable excise duty postings to be made with a value of '0'.

The key to the table is the posting string and the consecutive counter in the ATAB tables for inventory management.

In order to be able to post zero amounts, the field found at detail level must be checked.

When there is a legal requirement to record ALL movements of dutiable materials even when no excise duty is due, the field 'post zero amounts' must be marked with an 'X' for the system not to suppress an ED value of zero. If a goods movement is then made between two locations both with the tax status 'UNTAX', the excise duty posting would still be made.

Only the option to post excise duty values of zero can be maintained here.
