In this step, you define access sequences.
The access sequence is a search strategy which the SAP System uses to search for valid output condition records.
To define an access sequence, make the following settings:
- Access sequence
Alphanumeric key with up to 4 characters which identifies an access sequence.
- Description
Text describing the output condition.
- Detail data (more information on other possible customizing options can be found using the field help):
- Access number
Sequential number of the access within the access sequence.
- Table
Condition table which contains the key fields of the output condition records.
- To create a new access sequence, copy a similar access sequence in the system and make the necessary changes.
- If you define your own access sequences, the key should start with the letter Y or Z as SAP reserves these name conventions in the standard SAP System.
- Check to what extent you can use the access sequences contained in the standard SAP System, and to what extent you must change them.
- Define and activate access sequences for all SD documents, then generate them in Utilities.
