Item types are used in nominations to define how a location is used by a TSW transport system.

The following Item types are available in TSW:

  • O Origin
  • D Destination
  • OT Origin Throughput
  • DT Destination Throughput

The Item type identifier (O,D,OT,or DT) may not have any relevance at the location where the nomination is received, that is, in the carrier system. For each Item type, you must enter an identifier that is acceptable to the receiver of the nomination (IDoc). The Item type used in the nomination is then translated for the IDoc sent to the receiver.
