With this activity, you can define conditions based on the purchasing document types to restart processes, such as the flexible workflow, for central purchase contracts and central purchase contract hierarchies.

Flexible Workflow

In this configuration step, you can select various attributes for central purchase contracts or central purchase contract hierarchies that are relevant for the restart of the flexible workflow. Whenever you update the values of these attributes in an approved document, the system triggers a restart of the approval process.

In some scenarios, you might want to disable some of the default restart workflow conditions for central purchase contracts or central purchase contract hierarchies. You can use this customizing activity to override these conditions to disable the default restart of the workflow.

  • Purchasing Document Details: This displays the category (central purchase contract or central purchase contract hierarchy) and document type (MK, WK, HSMK, and so on). You can further activate the combination for the restart of the workflow process. By default, this is active.
Note: When you choose ‘ALL’ as the document type, the restarting of the workflow would be applicable to all the document types, including any custom document type, if available.
  • Purchasing Document Workflow-Relevant Field Details: You can select the facets and fields that would enable the restart of the workflow for the specified category and document type. By default, this is enabled. If this setting is enabled for a defined combination of facets and fields, the system restarts the approval workflow when the values of those fields are changed in an approved document. If this setting is disabled for a selected attribute, the system does not restart the approval workflow when the values of the fields are changed in an approved document.
