Organizational Management objects are identified by an eight-digit number.

In the cases of tasks, workflows, rules and task groups, this eight-digit number consists of a three-digit prefix number followed by a five-digit number which is determined by internal number assignment. The complete number must be unique across systems and clients. From a technical point of view, the uniqueness of the number is catered for by the prefix number.

Select a unique prefix number in your customer number range for each system and each client.

The table with the prefix numbers is connected to the object catalog, ensuring that the prefix numbers are unique within the system infrastructure.

When maintaining existing entries without an object catalog entry, you are required to create such an entry. It is advisable to maintain entries decentrally, that is, only in the relevant system. This has the advantage that the system ID refers to the original system of the object catalog. If, at a later point in time, the relevant package moves to a new system, the prefix number is taken automatically.

Maintain the three-digit prefix number for each system and each client.
