You can link an external WMS to a central SAP S/4HANA system. Normally, all business processes, including inventory management, are carried out in the SAP S/4HANA system. All processes necessary for goods movements, warehousing and distribution, are performed in the decentralized WMS.

In this section, you define the storage locations at plant level which will be used for inventory management.

You activate an SAP S/4HANA system for storage location "0001" in plant "0001". As a result, this storage location is linked to inventory management in the SAP S/4HANA system.

Activate the storage locations which you want to use for central inventory management.
