Through the warehouse activity monitor, you receive an overview of critical objects in your warehouse. You can set up the overview of the individual objects individually using variants.

For each variant, you can set the following entries:

  • Variant
Arbitrary name that identifies the variant. You can assign a standard variant to a user through the menu path: System -> User profile -> Own data (parameters) (parameter ID "LVA"). This assignment is automatically proposed to the user when he or she starts the warehouse activity monitor.
  • Selection parameters for the individual critical objects
For each object you can specify a fixed selection using the variant, if this is necessary. If you want to suppress the display of a critical object, you can do this through the field "Display."

You can use a variant to make a special "view" of the warehouse monitor objects available to certain users.

You want to set the system so that a user can only view and process the following critical objects:

  • Unconfirmed transfer order items and
  • Open transfer requirement items of movement type 319.

To do this, define the following variant:

  • On the selection screen, select the data field "Display" for the warehouse activity monitor object "Unconfirmed transfer orders."
  • On the selection screen, select the data field "Display" for the warehouse monitor object "Open transfer requirements" and enter movement type 319 for this warehouse monitor object.
  • The data field "Display" must be deselected for the other warehouse monitor objects.

In the SAP standard version, no variants are supplied for displaying critical objects. It is not absolutely required that you create report variants. Without variants, the system presents a selection screen when you call up the warehouse monitor. On this selection screen, you can specify which critical situations and activities are to be displayed by the warehouse monitor. If the user does not make any specifications on this selection screen, all the warehouse monitor objects are displayed, without any limitations.

  1. Enter the name of the variant that you want to create.
  2. Process the variant.
For this, maintain the above parameters in accordance with your requirements.
