In this IMG activity you define side localizations. You can only define side localizations that come from ICD diagnosis catalogs (from ICD-10 onwards). Own entries are not possible:

Users can enter one of the side localizations defined here as additional information to a diagnosis. This is only possible with diagnoses in which the side localization is not already part of the diagnosis itself.

All of the side localizations defined here are available for procedures as well in the Claims Management system.

As with side localizations, diagnostic certainties are predetermined by ICD catalogs. When a diagnosis is captured, a side localization is often specified in connection with a diagnostic certainty.
