In this Customizing activity, you maintain higher education institute codes. Every higher education institute in Germany has a four-digit code which is reported in periodic statistical reporting. These codes are used to do the following:

  • Maintain external transcripts of students from a German university
  • Maintain the first higher education institute in Germany
  • Determine the reporting university

Maintain the four-digit higher education institute code by entering a description and validity period.
