In this Customizing activity, you define the application area, define search fields, and assign tables and fields. This Customizing activity contains three subtasks:

• Define Application Area

• Define Search Fields

• Assign Tables and Fields (used for searches)

To define an application area, proceed as follows:

1. Choose New Entries.
2. Enter the Application Area. This field is mandatory.

Note: The supported application areas are Sales and Distribution (SD), Financials (FI), and Material Management (MM). The Flight Bookings (FL) application area is delivered for reference purposes.

1. Enter the Description.
2. Choose Save.

To define search fields, proceed as follows:

Prerequisites: The application area has to be available. The search fields have to be defined for a particular application area.

1. Choose New Entries.
2. Enter the Seq. No. This field is mandatory.
3. Enter the Data Elementsused for the search fields in the delivered E-Discovery reports.
4. Choose Save.

To assign tables and fields for the data elements, proceed as follows:

1. Choose New Entries.
2. Enter the Seq. No. This field is mandatory.
3. Enter the Table Name in which you want to search for the selected data element.

Note: You can have multiple tables assigned to a particular data element.

1. Enter the Field Namethat is used for the data element in the selected table.
2. Choose Save.

You can use Flight Bookings (FL) as an example for this Customizing activity.
