This IMG activity specifies the service for Solution Manager communication with the SLD in Visual Administrator. To send data from SLD to ABAP, you must start a server in Java. This server waits for ABAP calls

You have access to the SAP Solution Manager server file system.

  1. Start the Visual Administrator. The path should be:
  • Unix: /usr/sap///j2ee/admin/go.sh

  • Windows: :\usr\sap\\\j2ee\admin\go.bat

Detailed Visual Administrator information is under http://help.sap.com:
  • Documentation -> SAP NetWeaver

  1. Enter "Visual Administrator" in the Search field.
  2. Reduce the search to "FUNCTION".
The first hit should be the correct one.
  1. Log on to the Visual Administrator (e.g. with the user J2EE_ADMIN).
  2. Choose Cluster → → Server → Services → JCo RFC Provider, at the left-hand side of the screen
  3. Choose Runtime → Bundles.
  4. Create an RFC destination. (If there are several nodes, you must create an RFC per node)

    3. Service: sapgw, e.g. sapgw01
    4. Count between 1 and 20
    5. Server host: Server data, e.g. wdfd00146493a
    6. Number: Instance number, e.g. 01
    7. Client: Enter the client which contains the Java user which is synchronized with Java UME, e.g. the client for SAP Solution Manager 7.0 installations is 001.

    9. User: Enter SAPJSF (the user/password is created during the installation, via SAPInst).
