In this Customizing activity, you can restrict the number of duplicate checks that are performed when supplier master data is distributed, for example, address and contact person.

Note:

The duplicate check function is available in SAP Supplier Lifecycle Management, in SAP Supplier Lifecycle Management on SAP ERP, and in SAP Supplier Lifecycle Management on SAP Supplier Relationship Management (SAP SRM).

By default, the following duplicate checks are performed throughout your system landscape during inbound processing:

  • Supplier by ID
Finds suppliers with the same ID
  • Supplier by Mapping
Finds suppliers that have already been uploaded
  • Supplier by Dun&Bradstreet Number
Finds suppliers with the same Dun&Bradstreet number
  • Supplier by Address
Finds suppliers with the same address (name and postal address)
  • Supplier by E-Mail
Finds suppliers with the same e-mail address
  • Contact by ID
Finds contacts with the same ID
  • Contact by Mapping
Finds contacts that have already been uploaded
  • Contact by Address
Finds contacts with the same address (name and postal address)
  • Contact by E-Mail
Finds contacts with the same e-mail address

By default, the following duplicate checks are not performed:

  • Supplier by Phone Number
Finds suppliers with the same phone number
  • Contact by Phone Number
Finds contacts with the same phone number

To have the system perform the above duplicate checks, leave the table empty. This is the default system behavior.

To have the system perform non default checks, create an entry for each specific dataset and select the Perform Check checkbox.

To exclude duplicate checks, create an entry for each specific dataset and leave the Perform Check checkbox empty.

You can deactivate the e-mail address checks so that you can use you own e-mail address to receive confirmation e-mails when you set up your system and perform tests.
