In this Customizing Activity, you assign the RFC connection between the SAP Supplier Lifecycle Management buy side and the SAP ERP back end to communication process types.

RFC connections between the SAP Supplier Lifecycle Management buy side and SAP ERP are required for the following:

  • The initial upload of suppliers from SAP ERP to the SAP Supplier Lifecycle Management buy side - communication process type: Supplier Data Management
  • The distribution of suppliers or supplier changes from the SAP Supplier Lifecycle Management buy side to SAP ERP - communication process type: Supplier Data Management

To enable the assignment of RFC connections to process types, the logical systems and RFC destinations must have been maintained in the following Customizing activities:

For the RFC connections to work, they must have been assigned to their respective communication process types in SAP Supplier Lifecycle Management as well.

  1. Enter a logical system to which you want to assign an RFC process type. This logical system is the target system of your RFC connection.
  2. Assign the communication process type Supplier Data Management.
  3. Enter the RFC destination for this process type. It needs to be of connection type '3' (Connection to ABAP System).
