In this Customizing activity, you create an RFC connection to the DataSift server.

A DataSift license with a valid username and an API key.

To create the RFC connection, proceed as follows:

  1. Choose Create.
  2. Enter DATASIFT as the RFC Destination.
  3. Select G as the Connection Type. G represents the HTTP Connection to an External Server
  4. Enter the Description for the RFC connection.
  5. Choose the Technical Settings tab.
  6. In the Target System Settings section, enter api.datasift.comas Target Host.
  7. In the HTTP Proxy Options section, enter the following:
  • Proxy Host (optional): Host informaiton
  • Proxy service (optional): Port information
  • Proxy user(optional)
  • Proxy Password (optional)
  1. Choose the Logon and Security tab.
  2. In the Logon with User section, enter the following:
  • Select Basic Authentication.
  • In the User field, enter the DataSift user name.
  • In the Password field, enter the DataSift API key.
  1. Choose Save.
