You check the destination service on J2EE. This service supports the communication and data transfer between Java and ABAP.

The service user ADS_AGENT is created and has the necessary authorizations.

In a double-stack system, the destination service is predefined during installation.

  1. Start the Visual Administrator.
  • Double Stack
  • Windows: \usr\sap\\DVEBMGS\j2ee\admin\go.bat.

  • UNIX: /usr/sap//DVEBMGS/j2ee/admin/go.

  • J2EE system
  • Windows: \usr\sap\\JC\j2ee\admin\go.bat.

  • UNIX: /usr/sap//JC/j2ee/admin/go.

  1. Log on to J2EE as the administrator J2EE_ADMIN by choosing Connect.
You must specify the host name and P4 port if required (504).
  1. Choose the Cluster tab.
  2. Choose Server → Services → Destinations.
  3. Under Runtime, choose HTTP.
The available connections are displayed.
  1. Check whether the connection is correct and change it if necessary.
If the connection does not exist, create it.
  1. Choose New.
  2. Enter the name FP_ICF_DATA_.
  3. Confirm your entries.
  4. Under Connection Settings, enter the message server (or Web Dispatcher) for the AS ABAP in the URL: http(s)://:.
  5. Under Logon Data, choose the option BASIC.
  6. Enter the client and user ADS_AGENT with password.
  • Save your entries.
  • Alternatively, you can make these entries using the SAP NetWeaver Administrator (NWA).

    1. Choose the URL: http://.:/nwa.
    2. In NWA, choose System Management → Configuration → Destinations.
    3. Make the entries described above and/or check the destination.
    4. Save your entries.
