You require an RFC connection.

During installation of SAP Solution Manager, you have created the user ADSUser.

See also the Security Guide on SAP Service Marketplace -> SAP Components -> SAP Solution Manager .

  1. Create a connection of the type “HTTP connection to external server (type G)“. The description for this connection must be “ADS”.
  2. Maintain the necessary attributes:
  • Host: host name of the J2EE on which the Adobe document service is running.

  • Service: number

  • HTTP port of host, for example, 500 (if the J2EE is instance 00)

  • Path prefix: enter the path

If the warning “Query String Not Allowed” appears, ignore it.
  1. Choose the Logon & Security tab.
  2. Enter the user ADSUser with password.
  3. Save your entries.
