The service user ADS_AGENT is used for communication between the ABAP stack and the J2EE stack on which the ADS is running. You must assign certain roles to this user.

With a double stack, the user is created during the installation. If you are using a separate J2EE stack, you may have to create a new user. If ADS_AGENT does not exist in the ABAP stack, create the service user in the transaction SU01 and specify a password.

  1. Assign the copied role to the ADS_AGENT service user.
  • SAP_BC_FP_ICF (if AS ABAP and AS Java (with ADS))

  • SAP_BC_FPADS_ICF (if AS ABAP and AS Java on different systems)

  1. Define entries for the respective role, generate the profile, and assign it to the user via user comparison.
