Use a system user to process background jobs.

  1. Create a system user, e.g. SOLMAN_BTC.
  2. Assign the role SAP_SM_BATCH to the user.
Note: Copy the role into your own namespace, complete it, and assign it to your user.

If you use transaction SOLMAN_SETUP

If the attribute "Update" is set for this activity in the Overview -> Open Activities screen, you must update the user authorizations manually:

  1. Choose the role which you assigned to the user (e.g. ZSAP_SM_BATCH).
  2. Choose Change Authorizations in the Authorizations tab.
  3. Choose Edit → Add Authorizations → From Template.
  4. Select and copy the template SAP_SM_BATCH_T.
  5. Save.
