SAPCCM4X agent in the satellite system informs the central monitoring system, the SAP Solution Manager System, as soon as an alert occurs. This triggers a background job (SAP_CCMS_CENSYS_DISPATCHER) via an event and the auto-reaction method (i.e. sending the workflow notification) will be executed.

You need one user in the monitoring client of the Solution Manager system with authorization for transactions RZ20/RZ21 and SM59.

You need one user in the monitoring client of the Solution Manager system with authorization profile CSMREG. This user can be a RFC user.

  1. Download the latest SAPCCM4X agent version from the SAP Service Marketplace (URL www.service.sap.com/swdc, search for sapccm4x) to the satellite system.
  2. Unpack the file with the command sapcar -xvf <filename>.sar
  3. Save the agent on operation system level in the satellite system.
  4. To register the satellite system in the SAP Solution Manager, call the agent with the following parameters In the command line:
sapccms4x -R pf=<Instance profile with complete path>
( e.g. sapccm4x -R pf=G:\usr\sap\TT5\SYS\profile\TT5_DVEBMGS01_twdfsm00 )
  1. Enter the relevant data of the Solution Manager system:
  • Monitoring client

  • System ID

  • System number

  • Host name of the Solution Manager system

  1. Enter two users.
  • One user with authorization for transactions RZ20/RZ21 and SM59. This user is only used this one time to establish the registration and to create the necessary RFC connection for the agent.

  • One user with authorization profile CSMREG. This user will be used by the agent to push monitoring data into the Solution Manager system.

  1. Repeat these steps for every instance of the satellite system.
