The user, for example, analyses data or corrects data inconsistencies, according to tasks. A task can be of various types, for example calling of a monitoring transaction, or running a correction report.

The system uses the list of tasks in the DCT service session. The user specifies filter criteria (for example: event, source and target product) and logical components in the selected solution. The system reads the release notes, and selects the associated tasks. This task list can be displayed graphically in the service session.

Tasks depend on the consistency result, and have a source and a target product, to be able to display the data flow. Each task has a target which specifies the product in which the activity is to be performed.

  1. Select the entry Business Objects in the dialog structure.
  2. Select the row with the corresponding DCT business object, in the table.
  3. Double-click on the entry Proposed Tasks, in the dialog structure.
  4. Choose New Entries.
  5. Enter the required header data:
  • Consistency result

  • Source product (product in which the event occurs)

  • Target product (product affected by this result)

  • DCT business object (affected business objects in source product)

  • Sort (output list): for example 10, 20, 30 ...

  • Higher-level sort (sort for higher-level tasks, to be able to create subtasks)

This creates a new hierarchy level in the session graphic. For example:
Task 1,,Sort=10,, + Parent=0
Task2,,Sort=20,, + Parent=10
Task3,,Sort=30,, + Parent=10
Task2 and Task3 are created as subtasks of Task 1.
  • Custom task

  1. Enter the task attribute, execution and release filter data.
  2. Save.

You make a mass data change in ERP. You can create several tasks, which describe the activities in the source system ERP, and in all affecte target systems, such as Beispiel CRM and SCM. Each task is also connected to a business object in the source system:

  1. Call transaction SMQ1 in the ERP system.
  2. Run the comparison report Z_XYZ in the CRM system.
  3. Display the troubleshooting guide "ABC.doc".
