Use

You use the function Data Consistency Management, in the Business Process Operations work center.

The Data Consistency Toolbox (DCT) gives you a structured and context-specific guideline for all data consistency activities. You get a list of proposed tasks and tools to check and improve the data consistency. The list depends on events which can affect the data consistency.

In this IMG activity, you can add customer contents, such as tools and documentation. You edit the DCT element steps.

You have:

• Set up the Business Process Operations work center

• Assigned Authorization to your users

SAP delivers content for typical consistency-relevant events in SAP products such as SAP ERP, SAP SCM and SAP CRM.

The contents delivered by SAP are available in the following languages:

• English

• Chinese

• Japanese

Note

If you use several languages, you must translate the text descriptions of your entries. See the chapter "How to Translate Your Own Customizing Entries" in the SAP Solution Manager <current release> configuration guide, in the Service Marketplace -> SAP Components -> SAP Solution Manager <current release>.

You can maintain the following hierarchical entries consecutively for DCT elements (see other IMG activities):

• Consistency result
  Definition of event keys for consistency-relevant events in a system

• Product
  Definition of DTC-specific products

• Business object
  Definition of DCT-specific business objects (not BOR objects)

• Proposed tasks
  Details of the proposed tasks for the combination of event, product and business object

• Application tables
  Definition of the application tables which are accessed by the consistency tools

• Tool ID list
  List of proposed tools for the combination of product, business object and table

• Tool details
  Consistency tools details

You are running an integrated scenario with SAP ERP and SAP CRM, and perform a mass update of the material data in ERP. The toolbox provides a task list for tasks which you need to check, and provides direct navigation to transactions, etc.
