Each person in CRM-based processes is identified as a business partner, and has this ID throughout the process. The business partner ID creates the connection between a system user and a business partner.

You need these activities for all CRM-based scenarios in the Solution Manager:

  • Service Desk
  • Issue Management
  • Change Request Management
  • Job Scheduling
  • Sold-to Party (Auftraggeber: mainly for system houses): Company for which systems are maintained (Reporting Organization) whose messages are sent to the Service Desk. The partner function answers the question: "Which customer pays for the service transaction?"
  • Support Team: The partner function answers the question: "Which support team is responsible for processing the message further?"
  • Company Employee: Employees who create, process or forward messages. The employees must be assigned to a position in an organization, so that they can be assigned to business transactions, etc. The partner function answers the question: "Which support team member is the message processor?".
  • Administrator:The partner function answers the question: "When maintenance is required, who is the administrator?"
  • Key User (Reporter): The partner function answers the question: "Which user created the message?".
  • Company employee: Employee who creates, processes or forwards Issues/Tasks/Top Issues. The partner function answers the question: "Which support team member is the processor of the issue?"
