SOLMAN_CM_APPROVAL - Authorization Settings Overview

Make the authorization settings for procedures used in the change request. There are two authorization setting scenarios.

1. Standard CRM Authorization Procedure.
2. Simplified Authorization Procedure based on CRM 5.0 change procedure types. The System Status Authorized and the Status Rejected are set by a PPF action with the methoden implementation HF_SET_STATUS.

You can use actions and consistency checks in change request management, in both scenarios.

You have copied the standard transaction type SMCR, with all status and action profiles, into your namespace.

Standard CRM authorization procedure

Perform the authorization setting IMG activities in this area.

Simplified authorization procedure

To use the simplified authorization procedure, perform the following activities:

1. Perform the IMG activity Define Action Profiles and Actions, and call the action profile of your change request.
2. You have created a PPF action which calls the method HF_SET_STATUS, to give the change request the status Authorized. The processing parameter USER_STATUS has the status value of the authorized status.
3. Add the processing parameter APPR_RESULT with the data type CHAR1 and the initial value A.
4. You have created a PPF action which calls the method HF_SET_STATUS, to give the change request the status Rejected. The processing parameter USER_STATUS has the status value of the Rejected status.
5. Add the processing parameter APPR_RESULT with the data type CHAR1 and the initial value R.
