SOLMAN_CM_PROD_CLNT - Specify a Production Client

When you access Change Request Management for the first time, the system prompts you to enter a client. This client is the one that you want to use when working with Change Request Management (production client). This is necessary because Change Request Management uses (client-specific) number range objects. Note that you cannot then include this client as a logical system in a maintenance or implementation project.

After you have specified the client, you cannot log on to Change Request Management in another client. If you try to do so, the system displays an error message.

If you entered an incorrect client by mistake when you logged on to Change Request Management for the first time, you can only correct the client by deleting a record in the /TMWFLOW/SMICONF database. To do so, call transaction SE16 (Data Browser), find the record that contains the relevant system ID, and delete the record by choosing Table Entry → Delete.
