SOLMAN_CM_RULE_APPR - Create Approval Procedure Rules

You must create two rule policies in the WebClient UI before you can use them for your approval procedures:

  • Approval procedure rule: AI_CM_CR_RFC_PRO
  • Approval step determination rule: AI_CM_CR_RFC_STE

  1. In the WebClient UI, choose Service Operations -> Rule Policies.
The system displays the search screen for rule policies.
  1. Choose New, and choose Approval Management as the context. You have to create two rule policies. Save the first one, before you create the other.
For the approval procedure rule, enter AI_CM_CR_RFC_PRO in the Rule Policyfield.
For the approval step determination rule, enter AI_CM_CR_RFC_STEin the Rule Policyfield.
The system creates a default policy variant.
  1. Select the rule policy top node to set authorizations.
  2. Select Draft Rulesand Newto create a rule folder by adding a subnode. Enter a name, for example, Approval Procedureor Approval step determination.
  3. Select the newly-created rule folder, and choose New.
  4. Under Rule Details, enter a name and a description for your new rule.
  5. Add actions and conditions to your rule folder, as follows:
Conditions for the approval procedure rule:
Match   Attribute   Operator   Value   Description
If   Transaction Type   Equals   Request for Change   Request for Change

Actions for the approval procedure rule:
Actions   Name   Value   Description
  Approval Procedure     Change Request Approval Procedure

Conditions for the approval step determination rule:
Match   Attribute   Operator   Value   Description
If   Approval Procedure   Equals   SMCR0001 / ZMCR0001
And   Approval Step   Equals   SMCR000001 / ZMCR000001
And   Approval Step Approver   Equals

Actions for the approval step determination rule:

Set partner for step approval by PFC
  Partner function   SDCR0002


  1. When you have created your rules and checked them to ensure correct logic and syntax, you can release and save them.

Result: You have created two rule policies which you can use for approval management.
