Maintenance mode is used to isolate the Diagnostics when upgrading Diagnostics Agent. This IMG activity checks which mode is set, and changes it if necessary.

Before you load the file LMSERVICE09.sca in an upgrade, you must enable maintenance mode.

Maintenance modes is disabled by default.

  1. Start the Diagnostics Administration URL: http:// :/smd/admin.
  2. Logon as J2EE administrator.
  3. Go to the Diagnostics Administration -> Managed Systems -> Agent Administration tab.
  4. Choose Enable Maintenance Mode in the Agents tab, to enable Maintenance mode.
