1.1,,Requirements

Download locations for a stand-alone installer of the SMD Agent can be found in SAP Note 1234387. The setup guide for the diagnostics agent is attached to this note.

[temporary note: The standalone installer will be released to Service Marketplace mid of July 2009. So far the files are available only internally: \\swf-unix1.wdf.sap.corp\patch_inbox_external\DIAGNOSTICS AGENT 7.11]

JDK 1.5 is required for HTTP scripts.

1.2,,Configure SMD Agent

Follow the setup that is attached to Note 1234387.

1.3,,Upload IntroscopeSapAgent.profile

·,,In the Solution Manager RCA work center, navigate to Agent Administration Applications Configuration application com.sap.smd.agent.application.wilyhost Application Resources.

·,,Download the file IntroscopeSapAgent.profile.template from scope Global and open it in a text editor.

·,,Change the property com.sap.hostagent.enable=true in the file.

·,,If you want to display data in Introscope: update the Enterprise Manager connection data:

introscope.agent.enterprisemanager.transport.tcp.host.DEFAULT=localhost

introscope.agent.enterprisemanager.transport.tcp.port.DEFAULT=6001

·,,Upload the file as IntroscopeSapAgent.profile (scope for selected agent)

1.4,,Upload executors.zip

·,,In the Solution Manager RCA work center, navigate to Agent Administration Applications Configuration application com.sap.smd.agent.application.eem Application Resources.

·,,Upload the file executors.zip to scope Global.
