The purpose of the SAP Enterprise Support Report - BI SelfService

is to provide our customers with a holistic overview and actual status

of the application and lifecycle management of their mission critical

operations.

The objective is to ensure that the appropriate service and support is

provided for the SAP Software Solutions and that actions are taken to

adress any open issues that might have a negative effect on the

operations of the installed application or business solutions.

The data shown in the ESR - BI SelfService is based on the information

available in the customer's SAP Solution Manager or SAP Global Support

Backbone and will be measured against the SAP E2E standards.

The SAP PSLE Report SelfService is a report for SAP Product Support for

Large Enterprises (SAP PSLE) customers and gives a holistic overview on the

current status of the application and lifecycle management of your mission-critical

operations and the SAP deliverables.

The objective of the SAP PSLE Report is to provide data that helps to ensure

appropriate collaboration between your IT organization and SAP for your

SAP software solutions, and to support the definition and execution of actions

to address any open issues that might have a negative impact on the operation

of your installed applications or business solutions. The data in the

SAP PSLE Report is based on the information in your SAP Solution Manager

and/or the data in the SAP Global Support Backbone.

ST400 SPS 26 is installed and the activation has been performed.

activation in ST400 SPS 26:

- before assigning the roles, please make sure, that the roles are compiled, see security guide: http://service.sap.com/instguides -> SAP Components -> SAP Solution Manager

(the roles are first shipped with SAP Solution Manager 7.0 SPS 23, changed in SPS 24)

- the roles: SAP_SM_BASIC_SETTINGS, SAP_BW_CCMS_SETUP and SAP_BW_CCMS REPORTING should be assigned to the user who perform the activation and also to the RFC user, if the BW run on another client or as a stand alone system

- the roles SAP_BW_ESR_REPORTING and SAP_BW_CCMS REPORTING to every user who wants to run the queries related to ES Report and PSLE Report

During the setup there will be also a scheduling for data extraction performed. The data will be serialized to XML at SAP backbone system, encrypted and transferred to Customers Solution Manager.

These Data is needed for generating the whole picture of your Enterprise Support Report.

1. activation with Basic Setup (Enterprise Support Report / PSLE Report BI SelfService)

- you launch the activity either through the link in SOLMAN_SETUP, go to Basic Setup --> Manual Configuration and perform activity: "Enable ESR data transfer"

or

2. activation without Basic Setup (Enterprise Support Report / PSLE Report BI SelfService)

- run program AGS_ESR_ACT to get the ES Report - BI SelfService related BI_CONT objects activated, SE37 authorization is needed, therefore please assing role: SAP_SM_BASIC_SETTINGS

after activation (Enterprise Support Report / PSLE Report BI SelfService)

- implement hot note 1526313

The following changes are made to your system:

With manual activity "Enable ESR data transfer" in basic setup several entries in extraction framework will be generated and

data exchange between Customers Solution Manager and SAP will be activated.
