Use

This configuration documentation is for system administrators and solution consultants. See also: SAP Solution Manager Configuration Guide in the Service Marketplace -> SAP Components -> Solution Manager <current release> and SAP Notes 948871 and 1575395.

Initial configuration

Use the automatic basic configuration guided procedure to initially configure your Solution Manager System. Choose the transaction SOLMAN_SETUP , and prodeed as instructed in the application guided procedure. You can find more information in the SAP Solution Manager Configuration Guide on the Service Marketplace: http://service.sap.com/instguides -> SAP Components -> SAP Solution Manager <current release>.

Read the following section before configuring:

• If you are copying a client, see Client Copy

• For the technical prerequisites of all scenarios, see: SAP GUI, Web Browser, Microsoft Office, SAP NetWeaver Business Client)

Check:

• whether the required add-ons are installed, license keys are available, TMS is set up, and the äatest LM-TOOLS patch is installed, to Prepare the Solution Manager

• Service Packages for service delivery are installed in the managed systems and Solution Manager

• Secure Socket Layer (SSL) for HTTP is set up.

Delta configuration

If you already use Solution Manager, see Delta Configuration.
