You need RFCs to navigate between systems, to use the functions in the following scenarios:

  • Implementation
  • Solution Monitoring/Administration
  • Business Process Monitoring and Job Scheduling Management
  • Service Desk
  • Change Request Management

You have:

You can create the following RFC connections automatically:

  • READ RFC connection
  • TMW RFC connection
  • TRUSTED RFC connection or LOGIN RFC connection
  1. Choose the system to which you want to generate the RFC connection.
  2. Choose the ABAP-based main instance of the systems for which you want to generate RFC connections, at the left-hand of the screen.
  3. Go to change mode.
  4. Choose a client in the Clients tab.
  5. Choose Generate RFC Destinations.
  6. Choose the type(s) of the RFC connections in the following dialog box.
  7. Choose the user options. If you, for example, use central user management, you can assign a user which exists in the component system .
  8. You can enter the RFC destination of a server group for load distribution, in the Attributes group box.
