SOLMAN_INPERF_CCMS_C - Activate Background and Central System Dispatching

To start all data collection methods correctly in the monitoring infrastructure, background dispatching must be activated. It starts all data collection methods that are executed periodically in the background process (as a job). To execute an autoreactions in the CEN for alerts from remote systems, central system dispatching must be activated.

You execute both activities in client 000.

Make sure that your user has the necessary authorizations (for example, role SAP_BC_BASIS_ADMIN).

Activate background dispatching

1. In client 000 of the CEN, call the transaction RZ21.

The Monitoring: Properties and Methods screen appears.

1. Choose Technical infrastructure → Local Method Execution → Activate background dispatching.

Background dispatching is executed by the job SAP_CCMS_MONI_BATCH_DP that runs once per hour. Note that not only this job runs under your user name, but also the data collection methods that are started by this job.

Activate central system dispatching

1. In client 000 of the CEN, call the transaction RZ21.

The Monitoring: Properties and Methods screen appears.

1. Choose Technical infrastructure → Configure Central System → Activate Central System Dispatching.

Central system dispatching is executed by the job SAP_CCMS_CENSYS_DISPATCHER.

Note: The job is event-driven.
