This activity maps object types from the project management to roadmap node types from SAP Solution Manager. This determines the conversion of a roadmap node type into an object type, when transferring the roadmap to project management. You can map different object types depending on the project type of project management.

The structure of a roadmap can comprise several structure types. Assign a project management phase type to the roadmap structure type Phase, and a project management task type to the other roadmap structure types. To distinguish between task types in a project management project, you can assign different task types per roadmap structure type. Otherwise, assign the same task type.

In the customizing of SAP Solution Manager, you have completed the following activities under SAP Customizing Implementation Guide -> SAP Portfolio and Project Management -> Project Management -> Structure:

• Define Project Types

• Define Phase Types

• Define Task Types

You map the roadmap node type Phase to a phase type of the project management.

You map the roadmap node types Normal node, Quality gate/milestone, Service package, Method, and Outputto a task type of the project management.
