You can import SAP Best Practice Packages (previously known as RDS packages) into the solution documentation of SAP Solution Manager. Afterwards, you can create projects for the work breakdown structure in the project management.

This customizing activity maps the elements from SAP Best Practice Packages to the entities in the project management in SAP Solution Manager.

You can map different object types, depending on the project type of the project management.

The structure of a SAP Best Practice Packages can comprise several structure types.

In the customizing of SAP Solution Manager, you have completed the following activities under SAP Customizing Implementation Guide -> SAP Portfolio and Project Management -> Project Management:

• Structure -> Define Project Types

• Structure -> Define Phase Types

• Structure -> Define Task Types

• Resource Management -> Basic Settings for Roles -> Define Role Types
