In order to be able to work with the Work Center for Process Integration (Technical Monitoring), you need the corresponding navigation role for the work center as well as the corresponding authorizations for your users. The work center navigation roles determine the menu and therefore the navigation for the respective work center, while the user roles control the authorizations.

Only one work center navigation role is relevant per work center. The user also needs the authorization role SAP_SMWORK_BASIC. SAP_SMWORK_BASIC contains all necessary authorization objects that are relevant for the work center.

You have:

  • Loaded the work center navigation roles in your work client

SAP provides the corresponding user roles (collective roles) for defined users:

  • SAP_PIM_CONF_COMP (full authorization for configuration, application and work center navigation)
  • SAP_PIM_L1_COMP (authorization for support level 1 and work center navigation)
  • SAP_PIM_L2_COMP (authorization for support level 2 and work center navigation)

The collective roles contain all required individual roles with authorizations for defined users.

The naming convention of the delivered work center navigation roles is: SAP_SMWORK_<work center>.

Assign the corresponding collective role to your users. Refer to the procedure described in the "Description" tab in the collective role.

  1. Choose the corresponding collective role.
  2. Choose the Description tab.
  3. Proceed according to the description.

You can open the work center as follows:

  • In a Web browser: Enter the following URL in Internet Explorer (HTTP or HTTPS according to your security settings): http(s):// <servername>:<port>/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/ ags_workcenter?WORKCENTER=TECHMON_COMP&sap-client=<client>
