SOLMAN_QCSD_EXTSERV - Release Web Service for External Service Desk

In this IMG activity, you release a Web service to connect to the external service desk.

You can connect an external service desk to the Solution Manager service desk to make different tools available to the different levels of your support organization. For example, you can use an external service desk of a third-party supplier for general IT problem messages, and the Solution Manager service desk for the solution of SAP application problems.

1. Enter service ICT_SERVICE_DESK_API and variant ICT_SERVICE_DESK_API.

Note: The current transaction can be obsolete. Ignore any such messages in the system.

1. Choose Create or Web Service -> Create
2. Save your entries.
3. Start the transaction SICF
4. Filter by the service path ICT_SERVICE_DESK_API
5. Choose Change to process the Logon Data tab. Under Procedure, choose "With Logon Data".
6. Assign the previously-created user to the service.
7. Enter a password.
8. Save.
