SAP E-Book

This IMG activity configures access to your route permission table (SAPRouttab file). You must enter the servers and ports in the route permission table, to be able to establish a service connection to SAP. This function:

  • maintains the file when you open a service connection

  • updates the file when a connection is closed

  • restarts the SAProuter

Note: The maintenance of the route permission table can require a lot of effort, for access to web applications. Only write the entries in the file which you currently require, for security reasons.

You have:

  • installed and configured an FTP server in the SAProuter. See SAP notes 795131 and 130106.
  • the authorization role SAP_SERVICE_CONNECT.

To automatically restart the SAProuter, you must either:

  • have installed a gateway and the program SAPxpg in the SAProuter, or

  • have run a background program which reads the SAProuter tab file every two 2 minutes (saprouter -n).

The route permission table is only updated when you open the connection from SAP Solution Manager. If you open the connection in the Service Marketplace, this function is not called.

If you are the service provider, see the service provider section in the SAP Solution Manager Security Guide in the Service Marketplace: -> SAP Components -> SAP Solution Manager .

  2. Choose Change.
A dialog box apears.

  11. If you want to read the route permission table automatically, set the flag.
  12. Choose a supported operating system.
