To establish a trust relationship for client calls from SAP Solution Manager to IBM Rational SAP Connector, a self-signed certificate must be provided by the NetWeaver server of the Solution Manager and imported into the IBM Rational SAP Connector.

For the integration, user IDs for end users are required in both systems.

SAP Solution Manager must be set up for WS Security Authentication as per SAP Note 1319507.

  1. Navigate to node SSF SAML2 Service Provider # S(if that is not available, use SSF SAML2 Service Provider).
  2. Double-click the content of the Owner field (Own Certificate area) to display the details of the certificate on the bottom part of the screen.
  3. Choose Export Certificate.
  4. Choose a file name and path and save the certificate as a local file.
  5. Import the certification into IBM Rational SAP Connector. For details, please see the documentation for IBM Rational SAP Connector.
