Create a technical user that is used to send data from the external test tool to the Solution Manager system.

In this IMG activity, you create a technical user with restricted authorization that is used when an external service desk system calls the SAP Solution Manager Service Desk.

You have completed all activities listed in the IMG activity Information and Configuration Prerequisites.

Creating a user

  1. Enter a user name, for example, DEFECTMAN.
  2. Choose the user type System.
  3. Save.

Assign a role to the user

  1. Assign the user a copy of each of the following roles:
  • SAP_SUPPDESK_INTERFACE

  • SAP_SUPPDESK_ADMIN

Give the roles the values you require.
  1. Choose Compare Users.
  2. Save.
