In this IMG activity, you ensure that the Solution Manager is able to collect data for Solution Monitoring in the satellite systems. From Add-On ST-PI version 2005_1_<release>, the RFC back connection of satellite systems to the Solution Manager will be created automatically for data collection. If you are using a lower release, you will need to enter this RFC back connection manually.

Support Services require the appropriate ST-A/PI in the satellite system, as specified in note 69455.

Import ST-PI version 2005_1_ SP 01 or higher, before generating RFC connections. This has the following advantages:

  • You can connect several Solution Managers to the satellite system.
  • Create back RFC automatically
  • Load reduction because data is not collected for Solution Monitoring twice.

  1. Check the version of the Add-On ST-PI in the satellite systems (System -> Status menu).
  2. Use the Add-On Installation Tool (transaction SAINT), to import the Add-On ST-A/PI specified in SAP note 69455, if necessary.
