SAP E-Book

In order to be able to work with the Work Center for Incident Management, you need the corresponding navigation role for the Work Center and also the corresponding authorizations for your users. The work center navigation roles determine the menu, and thus the navigation for the respective work center while the user roles control the authorizations.

Only one work center navigation role is relevant per work center. The user also needs the role SAP_SMWORK_BASIC, which contains all authorization objects required for the work center.

You have:

  • Loaded the work center navigation roles in your work client.

SAP provides the corresponding user roles (collective roles) for defined users:

  • SAP_SUPPDESK_SP_ADMIN_COMP (full authorization and work center navigation)
  • SAP_SUPPDESK_SP_PROCESS_COMP (authorization for processors and work center navigation)
  • SAP_SUPPDESK_SP_CREATE_COMP (authorization for end users and work center navigation)
  • SAP_SUPPDESK_SP_DISPLAY_COMP (display authorization and work center navigation)

The collective roles receive all required individual roles with the corresponding authorizations. For detailed user and user role documentation and a mapping of work center functions, see the Security Guide SAP Solution Manager on Service Marketplace -> SAP Components -> SAP Solution Manager <current release>.

For deltas in the standard roles, see SAP Note 834534

The naming convention of the delivered work center navigation roles is: SAP_SMWORK_ <work center>.

Assign the corresponding collective role to your users. Refer to the process described in the "Description" tab in the collective role.

  1. Choose the respective collective role.
  2. Choose the Description tab.
  3. Proceed according to the description.

You can call the work center as follows:

  • In the Web browser: Enter the following URL in Internet Explorer (HTTP or HTTPS according to your security settings): http(s):// <servername>:<port>/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/ags_work_incident_man?sap-client=<client>
